According to tradition, Corn Maidens were created in the palm of the right hand of the Great Spirit as guides for the people of the Earth. This enchanting twin corn maiden carving is made from the root of a cottonwood root by Zuni artist R.R. Lewis and measures 11 1/4” in height by 3 1/2” in width by 1 1/2” in depth.
