Native American Art & Jewelry
The Trading Bird and Gypsy Gem have an extensive collection of Native American arts and jewelry. We represent Native American Artists from Santo Domingo Pueblo, Jemez Pueblo, Cochiti Pueblo, Acoma Pueblo,. Hopi Pueblo, Zuni Pueblo, and the Dine' (Navajo) people. We offer heishi bead necklaces, overlay shells, tufa cast silver, inlay jewelry, and Kachina dolls. Native American jewelry is often made of Cerrillos Turquoise, coral, mother of pearl, jet, and a large array of other semi precious stones.
One-of-a-kind traditional style thunderbird bolo tie by Kewa artist Robert Rosetta from Santo Domingo Pueblo. The thunderbird bolo eatures turquoise, jet, pipestone, and shell - all of which have been overlaid onto a carved vinyl record - and measures 3 3/4” in length and 3” in width. The bolo tie, including the 7 millimeter Remington mag tips, measures 46” in length.
